Town Hall: An Agency Website Built to Earn the Right Clients

Challenge & Approach
Speaking Directly to the Decision Maker
Town Hall is a marketing agency built specifically for organizations that do good — nonprofits, higher education institutions, and mission-driven brands. The existing site wasn't communicating that specificity. The language wasn't targeted enough, the visual impact didn't meet the standard set by competitors, and the people and expertise behind the agency weren't coming through. Discovery started with a structured stakeholder survey to align on goals, audiences, and success metrics, followed by competitive analysis across six peer agencies — mapped across homepage structure, case study presentation, capabilities, and contact approach. The research pointed to a clear opportunity: build a site organized around the three client verticals, lead with thought leadership, and make it immediately legible to a decision maker at a nonprofit or university who's evaluating agencies. Wireframes established the structure before any visual decisions were made.

My Role
Discovery to Launch, End to End
I led the full engagement — from facilitating discovery and running competitive analysis through UX architecture, wireframes, and final visual design. Every design decision on this project was mine, built on a foundation of research rather than assumption.

Results
On Time, On Brief
Town Hall launched on schedule to a satisfied client — with a site that finally matches the quality and specificity of the work the agency does. Clear vertical pathways for each audience type, stronger visual presence, and a sharper brand voice give prospective clients an immediate sense of who Town Hall is and whether it's built for them.
